Your role as an Executor or Key Contact
Access as an Executor or Key Contact
If you have been designated as an Executor or a Key Contact, once we have received notification of their passing, we will contact you to verify your identity before providing you access to the key information in their adeus account. This information will include key information, instructions and documents that they have stored to helo you understand their wishes, find all of their assets and accounts, and help you to manage their estate as per those wishes.
Depending on the role they specified, you will have access to:
Executor: adeus Digital Will and Digital Vault
Key Contact: adeus Digital Vault
You will be able to view, or download all information and files the person has provided you access to in a specific secure, read only section of the secure adeus portal.
Executors play an important legal role: Executors distribute your estate and carry out your will's instructions. Given the importance of this role, only the Executor is provided access to the Will. They can then decide to share with Key Contacts, or other relevant people like loved ones based on their discretion, or the instructions of the Courts.
