Wills: supporting the guardian

Your appointed guardian will assume parental responsibility for your child, or children. It is important that - if possible - you set up a trust or leave a portion of your estate to the guardian specifically for the care of your children.

If you leave a specific amount of money you can do this in the Monetary Gifts section, or you can leave a percentage of the Residuary Estate.

It is also good practice to leave specific information or instructions to the guardian so they understand your wishes for your child's upbringing, you can create a private note with adeus True Notes.

This can help alleviate any financial burden on the guardian.
